Authentic mid-19th century American pewter coffee pot, Civil War Era dating to circa 1862. The base bears a partially legible patent date; due to age-related wear some letters are no longer visible, but the remaining mark reads "…une, 6, 1862," consistent with the Ducimus patent dated June 5, 1862. This confirms production after that date.
Made of antique pewter (Britannia-type alloy) with a naturally aged patina developed over more than 150 years.
Includes an old dealer inventory tag found inside the pot; attribution and date noted on the tag are unverified and included for historical interest only.
Condition:
Good authentic antique condition. Exhibits expected surface wear, patina, & minor dings scratches, scuffs consistent with age and use. Interior exhibits age-related spotting with areas of surface rust and grime at the bottom. No leaks observed at time of inspection. Overall excellent condition for its age. Lid fits properly.
